Assad Attamimi
Assad showed his potential already in 2006 with a 3rd place behind George Lawson and Mark Jansen. In 2010 he took the crown in a very exciting finale, distancing himself from his two main competitors (of whom Mark Jansen was one) in the final lap of the run. He lost his title in 2011 to Fredrik Cronenborg despite another solid performance.

Alice Hector
Alice won both Bintan Triathlon PRO races held in 2006 and 2007, what has probably been the biggest pay days in her triathlon career. She went on to take 3rd in the European Long Distance Championships in 2007 before she retired from professional triathlon. Alice came back to compete as an age-grouper in 2010 and won again!

Trudy Fawcett
Very new to the sport, but helped by a splitting run, Trudy took the Bintan Triathlon by storm. After a 2nd place in 2008, she received top honours in 2009, while 2010 saw her again on the second step of the podium.

George Lawson

Courtney Atkinson
The Bintan Triathlon is proud to have Courtney as a two time winner. In 2006 and 2007 he took the crown, and some handsome prize money, home. Courtney has gone from strength to strength ever since, winning several world cup races and sharing the podium with the worlds’ greatest in the ITU World Championships.
