

The Organisers reserve the right to limit and refuse entries
The Organisers reserve the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable of continuing the race.
The Organisers reserve the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without prior notification.
The Organisers reserve the right to amend the race course with prior notice to participants.
On-site reporting and body marking will start one and a half hours before the commencement of the race.
Participants have to place their bicycles at their designated location in the transition area.
Participants in the relay categories are responsible for passing their timing chip to their teammates at the designated areas after their respective legs.
In the event of inclement weather, the Organisers reserve the right to delay the commencement of the race, shorten the race or modify the course.
Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organisers reserve the right to cancel the race without any refund of registration fees.
On-the-spot entries will be accepted only for Fun Race Duo Challenge.
The Organisers will not be responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete and/or incorrect entry details given by the participants.
Participants racing in the Kid's distance triathlon must be between 8 and 11 years old on race day to compete in the race.
Participants racing in the Youth distance triathlon must be between 12 and 15 years old on race day to compete in the race.
Relays can be made up of 2 or 3 people.
Participants racing in the Sprint distance triathlon must be 16 years old and above on race day to compete in the race individually, and 14 years old and above to be part of a Sprint distance relay team.
Participants racing in the Olympic distance triathlon must be 18 years old and above on race day to compete in the race individually, and 16 years old and above to be part of a Olympic distance relay team.
Changes to race distance are permitted. A penalty fee of $20 will apply per change.
Changes to team relay members are permitted. An admin fee of $20 will apply per change of person.
All changes must be made by 10 May 2012.
Awards Dinner fees (package rate or individual) will be refunded if claims are made before 10 May 2012. An admin fee of $5 will be charged.
Individual race entries are non-transferable. Any person doing so will be held responsible in case of an accident arising from or provoked by the other person during the race. The Organisers reserve the right to exclude both parties from future events.
Once the registration form has been processed, there will be no cash refund for the participants who, for whatever reason, eventually do not take part.
Swimsuits must be worn.
All swimmers must wear the swim caps provided by the Organisers.
Swim goggles may be worn.
Fins, paddles, pool buoys, snorkels or any other swimming aids are not allowed.
Wet suits are not allowed.
Support crews are not allowed. Any assistance, other than medical aid received during the swim will result in immediate disqualification.
No persons other than the participants and officials are permitted in the swimming area.
Swimmers in difficulty shall signal by raising an arm to the escorting boats/canoes for assistance.
Once assistance is rendered, the competitor must retire from the competition.
Cyclists must ensure that their competition numbers are clearly visible at the back of their adorned apparel at all times.
No bare torso is allowed at all times.
A participant may run or walk with his bicycle.
Cyclists are to keep to the left side of the road and reminded to observe traffic rules at all times.
All participants will be required to perform their own repairs if their bicycles should break down.
Support vehicles and crews are not permitted.
All cyclists must wear helmets from the time they remove their bicycle from the rack.
The helmet must be fastened before the cyclist takes his/her bicycle from the bicycle rack and must stay fastened until the cyclist places the bicycle back at the allocated spot on the bicycle rack.
It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that their bicycles and bicycle brakes are in good working condition.
Wearing headphones is not allowed at all times.
Drafting is not allowed. You are considered drafting when you are within 5 metres of another participant's rear wheel or riding next to someone within 2 metres. You are allowed 15 seconds in someone's draft zone. Once you are passed, you must drop back out of the draft zone before overtaking the person who passed you.
Cyclists caught drafting will be shown a yellow card. Participants will receive a 2-minute time penalty for every yellow card received.
Runners must wear their race numbers clearly visible at the front of their adorned apparel at all times.
Support vehicles or pacers are not allowed.
Runners must run on the designated path for the entire route. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
No bare torso is allowed at all times.
Wearing headphones is not allowed at all times.
The run course of the Sprint distance triathlon will be closed 3 hours after the start of the race. Runners that have not finished the course by then will be sent straight to the finish line.*
Runners of the Olympic distance triathlon are not allowed to start their first or second lap of the run course later than 17:30 hrs. *These runners will be disqualified, but have their times recorded and receive a finisher medal
